Meet Lauren!

Lauren Richie

Owner, Educational Therapist

Lauren is a Board Certified Cognitive Specialist and Educational Therapist with over a decade of experience working with students and families in various educational settings. Lauren began her career as a school administrator and assistant principal in charge of all special education services at a public charter school for students with ADHD and Autism. She went on to run private therapeutic programs in Cincinnati, OH, Orange County, CA, and West Los Angeles for students with learning and behavioral challenges from pre-kindergarten through high school. She has extensive relationships with private schools in the Los Angeles area.

In addition to being an Educational Therapist, Lauren is an Orton-Gillingham Associate, and Interactive Metronome Certified Provider. As an educator, Lauren has a unique understanding of how early developmental stages, such as crawling, walking, and visual and language development, impact learning. When she works with students and their parents, she takes the time first to understand which developmental areas need to be strengthened to support their specific learning goals.

Lauren understands that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work in education, especially for struggling learners. She makes it her mission to identify the very best approaches for the students and families she serves so that all students can shine bright as learners!
